About Positive Steps Therapy and the Counselling Process

My name is Sarah. I am a qualified person-centred therapeutic counsellor for adults.


I was born and bred in Liverpool and have lived in Dorset for fifteen years.


I first became interested in counselling after losing a loved one. After working through my bereavement and understanding personal growth, I discovered a great desire within me to help and support others in their own journey. 

About Counselling

My aim is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences. This can allow you to gain a greater understanding of your struggles, notice behaviours and reflect on your ways of thinking.


As you feel heard and understood, you can begin to gain more clarity about your situation, which can lead to increased self-acceptance, personal empowerment, and a better ability to handle life’s challenges.
